CRC2007-11-08Dargues Reef prospect in NSW - Highlights of the drilling, which targeted the upper levels of the Dargues deposit, include: 13m @ 5.53g/t Au and 12m @ 6.27g/t Au; 9m @ 6.63g/t Au and 4m @ 7.01g/t Au; and 16m @ 3.38g/t Au and 4m @ 7.04g/t Au.
AGS2007-10-29Four Mile Uranium Project in South Australia - New high-grade uranium intercepts (GT>1m%U3O8) at Four Mile East, including: 1.50 m @ 1.13% pU3O8 (AK398); 2.60 m @ 0.53% pU3O8 (AK442); 1.85 m @ 1.94% pU3O8 (AK445); 5.20 m @ 0.33% pU3O8 (AK447); 4.70 m @ 0.69% pU3O8 (AK447); and 1.10 m @ 1.53% pU3O8 (AK453). The Company also reported that new mineralised zones were identified in the southern part of Four Mile East Prospect and drilling continues at Four Mile East with up to five rotary mud and two diamond core rigs in operation.
MEE2007-10-26Drilling has increased the coal resource at Bloodwood Creek to 100Mt of high quality coal. A total of 22 drill holes for 5,103m have been completed testing the Macalister coal seam to depths of approx 200m. The resource has been defined over an area of 5.8km2 with drilling completed on 500m centres. The average Macalister seam thickness intersected is 9.2m. Using conventional estimation techniques, and an average bulk density of 1.5 the resource meets the requirements of a JORC (2004) compliant Inferred Coal Resource of 100Mt of high quality coal. This resource remains open along strike and down dip and is expected to increase significantly with further drilling.
AUZ2007-10-25Revised resource estimates for the company as of the 30th June, 2007. Based on the new reserves, the Blair operation now has a minimum mine life of 2.5 years. The orebody remains open at depth and the company is confident that further underground drilling will extend the mine life. Total Mineral Resource now stands at 105,500t @ 4.9% Ni for 5,100t Ni and Blair Mine Sulphide Reserve of 130,000t @ 2.9% Ni for 3,840t Ni.
PRE2007-10-22RC drilling confirms, and extends the zone of substantial gold mineralisation previously identified. Assay results received for 5m composite samples have continued to return significant intercepts of gold mineralisation including: 20m @ 7.15g/t, inc. 10m @ 13.66g/t; 20m @ 2.80g/t, inc. 10m @ 5.35g/t; 40m @ 3.88g/t, inc. 10m @ 14.65g/t; 20m @ 2.94g/t, inc. 5m @ 9.97g/t; 30m @ 3.23g/t, inc. 5m @ 10.34g/t; 42m @ 3.34g/t; 21m @ 4.12g/t; and 15m @ 5.40g/t.
CVN2007-10-19Na Sanun East oil field - production from the Company's Thailand permits has now reached a gross rate of approx 4,000 barrels of oil per day ("bopd") (Carnarvon share 1,600 bopd). The latest Na Sanun East ("NSE") oil field development well NS8-D1 is now on production at a rate of 1,480 bopd of 35 degree API crude oil. NS2-D1 is a deviated development well that was drilled to 865m TVD and is 452m north of the NS8-D1 well detailed above. The NSE oil field appraisal well L44G-D1 is on production from perforations between 558 to 621m TVD at an average rate of approx 50 bopd of 37 degree API crude oil after initial flush production at rates of 100-200 bopd.
MCR2007-10-09Initial drilling program at the Tottenham Copper Project in central NSW intersecting widespread, shallow copper mineralisation in two separate zones. The results of RC and diamond drilling completed in and around oxide mineralisation outlined by previous explorers had provided good indications of grade continuity within each zone, as well as confirming the potential for high-grade zones. Best results received to date include 8.5m @ 1.03% copper, 3.5m @ 7.40% copper, 10m @ 0.98% copper, 6m @ 2.1% copper and 4m @ 1.7% copper.
RAU2007-10-03In-fill and extension sampling at 100%-owned, Whumbal West tungsten prospect in Far North Queensland indicates a continuous tungsten anomaly over a strike length of 3,500m that is still open along strike to the north and south, and across strike to the west on some sample lines. The sampling results show quite widespread anomalous levels of lead and copper adjacent to the Whumbal West tungsten anomaly and across the wider general area. The additional sampling also produced a few more encouraging tin results and a coincident high zone with the main area of tungsten anomalism.
AUZ2007-08-17Marriott's nickel project - 65 km from Leinster in W.A. The AMMD023 hole returned 15m true width @ 2.46% Ni from 129m downhole (including 2m @ 4.24% Ni and 6m @ 5.18% Ni as coarse blebby and veinlet nickel sulphides).
MCR2007-08-03Latest results from exploration drilling programs at three of its operating nickel mines - indicated potential resource extensions at Redross and Wannaway, and highlight the Mariners NO9 discovery as possibly the most significant new ore body yet discovered by Mincor in the Kambalda District. Significant intersections include: Mriners NO9, 2.4m @ 7.2% Ni and 3m @ 7.2% Ni; Redross Mine, 1.9m @ 5.7% Ni; and Wannaway Mine, 1.4m @ 7.9% Ni.
